M6-M9 interchange (141+300 km - 142+482 km)

In the course of this section the track of the motorway passes in the territory of Tolna County touching two settlements: Mözs and Szekszárd.

The M6-M9 interchange is situated at km 141+700.

The M9 expressway is crossed by the M6 motorway with an overpass. After the interchange M6 joins the following section on a 3-5 metre high embankment.

M6 Motorway

M6-M9 interchange (141+300 km - 142+482 km) In the course of this section the track of the motorway passes in the territory of Tolna County touching two settlements: Mözs and Szekszárd. The M6-M9 interchange is situated at km 141+700. The M9 expressway is crossed by the M6 motorway with an overpass. After the interchange M6 joins the following section on a 3-5 metre high embankment.

M6 motorway between Szekszárd -Bóly (144+200-192+200 km)

Major design parameters:

• a phase of 48 km
• the expressway is built with dual carriageway 2x2 traffic lanes (2 x 2 x 3.75m) with paved emergency lanes
• 4 pieces of two-duct tunnels (with a length of 2x1331m, 2x399m, 2x865m, 2x418m each)
• Number of structures: 47 (bridges, viaducts)
• 3 rest areas (Sárpilis-simple, Geresd-complex, Szebény-simple)
• 1 Operational and Maintenance Centre at Bátaszék
• 5 interchanges as follows:

Szekszárd-East interchange:

Shape: diagonal half cloverleaf. In this interchange road No. 5113 and national public road No. 51369 are placed on a new alignment. As the connection with road No. 51369 is the 4th branch in the junction , the on- and off ramps and the connection with road No. 5113 are connected with roundabout.

Szekszárd-South interchange:

Shape: half cloverleaf. The interchange ramps connect with a T-shape interchange on road No. 5114. In connection with the interchange the entire length of road No. 5114 is reconstructed.

Bátaszék- Alsónyék interchange:

Shape: half cloverleaf. The Bátaszék interchange is constructed at km 163+860 of the M6 motorway on the connecting road Bátaszék-Bonyhád No. 5603 which is placeded on a new alignment. Through the connecting road the interchange ensures connection between the motorway, the public roads No. 55., 56. and Bátaszék. Placement of this interchange was effected by and adjusted to the MÁV Dombóvár-Bátaszék railway junction.

Véménd-Palotabozsok interchange:

Shape: half cloverleaf. The Véménd interchange is constructed at km 174+270 of the M6 motorway on the bypass of Palotabozsok-Véménd, road No. 5606 The interchange ensures connection with the settlements of the region, with main road No. 56 and Mohács to the East, and with main Road No. 6. and Pécsvárad to the West.

Interchange with road No. 57 (Mohács):

Shape: diagonal half cloverleaf. The interchange with road No. 57 is constructed at km 191+803of the M6 motorway on the corrected section of the main road. Due to the M6-M60 forking interchange the interchange ramps connect through collector-distribution lanes to the motorway. The interchange ensures connection between the motorway and Mohács and - through the M6-M60 forking interchange - between the motorway and Pécs.

The construction of the M6-M60 forking interchange is scheduled in a timely manner until the handover of the M6 section running to the state border. As such the pavement of the main carriageway of the motorway is not constructed from km 191+605 the traffic flows on the right- and left hand side collection-distribution lanes.
